Women’s Rights in China & Netherlands (Ministry of Foreign Affairs/RNW)

On May 20, 2015, the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Radio Netherlands Worldwide organized a panel discussion on women’s rights in China and the Netherlands. Together with Guo Jianmei (founder of the Women’s Legal Research & Service Center, Christine Liu (successful businesswoman and women’s rights advocate), Pei Yuxin (Chinese sex & gender professor), and Zhang Yijing (leader of the United Nations Women’s Media Award) and Mirjam Krijnen (Taskforce Gender of Ministry of Foreign Affairs), I was invited to speak about the position of women in China today. The meeting was held in De Rode Hoed, Amsterdam.
