Talking About Chinese Literary Sensation Fan Yusu (BBC)
In late April of 2017, Fan Yusu became an overnight literary sensation in China when her moving essay “I am Fan Yusu” was published on online platform Noonstory.com and soon went viral. The essay, an autobiographical story about Fan’s life as a migrant worker in Beijing, was read 30 million times just days after it went online. Manya Koetse speaking to BBC Newshour.
